And that is just what they are doing....lots of screaming and shouting and running and playing and fighting and eating....LOL!!!

Josh was busy this past weekend trying to soundproof my office and I am so glad he did. The girls are having so much fun now that they are finished with school for the summer. Josh set up their playstation and video rockers in Reagon's room and the girls organized all their games so they have been staying up till midnight every night playing games and sleeping until 11am. I woke up a couple nights ago around 11pm to Kendall singing Sweet Home Alabama on her playstation rock star karaoke game! LOL During the school year, they have a fairly strict schedule with homework, chores, bedtimes at 8:30 and wake-up time at 6:20am so I let them have as much fun and independence as possible during the summer break. They get up close to noon, request pancakes for bfast/lunch and then spend the rest of the day outside riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, playing softball, spraying each other with the water hose, and anything else they can think of. They have chore time for one hour a day, usually from 3pm-4pm (cleaning their rooms, making beds, sweeping porch, emptying hampers, etc) but other than that, they are free to have fun all day. I have noticed that my house is soooo much harder to keep clean with all 3 kids home all day long. Sasha, our summertime babysitter for the past 4 years is here with us again. We love Sasha and she is so good with Jed. Bless her heart, she spends most of her time outside chasing him around the yard. My grocery bill has also gone up...every few minutes the girls run in for a quick snack and drink. I better get started clipping coupons again!

I am so very proud of both of my girls' school work this past year. It was a rough one for both girls. Reagon is so smart and has made all A's since Kindergarten but 5th grade was a tough year. They had so much homework....it would take her an hour or more every night to complete her work for the next day and I struggled with helping her. Most of the time, especially in Math, Josh would help her study for tests. She still made all A's this year, a major accomplishment for the 5th grade. She was one of two in the entire 5th grade to not get a B all year. Kendall had a rough year about mid-way through and was homeschooled for 6 weeks due to anxiety but went back to school and did great on all her tests and benchmark exams. She finished the year with All A's (two out of 16 in her class had All A's) so we were extremely proud of her. I cried when they gave her the award for perfect attendance the last 9 weeks. What an accomplishment for her with the anxiety she overcame.

We always give the girls rewards based on their report cards. Reagon chose to spend her money on some really cute dresses and Kendall chose to get her ears pierced.

Memorial Day

Jed was sick all weekend so we didn't get to do much for the holiday. Thankfully, he was feeling better on Monday so we were able to spend some time at the pool with Papa Rog and Nana Memaw and Aubri. We grilled burgers, ate ice cream, swam in the pool and napped under the cool a/c.....perfect summer activities! We missed having April & Greg and Caleb and Mary Grace with us but Ava was just released from the hospital and Caleb had to work. Hopefully we will all be together for our annual 4th of July cookout.

Jedidiah is 18 months old!!!

1 1/2 years old!!!! I want to cry thinking about how fast the last year and half has flown by. My little baby is very much a little boy now. He is learning so much so fast I can barely keep up. Here is an update:

Weight:
26 pounds

Still dances every time we turn on the radio or Josh plays the guitar

Can point to nose, ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, toes

Knows animal sounds...Moo for cow, Woof for dog, Meow for cat, etc

Gives lots of hugs and kisses

Loves to snuggle with his sisters at night before bedtime and early in the morning

He is learning to use his forks and spoons better

Favorite thing to watch is Goof Troop and RFDTV Auctions

Food:
He can eat almost anything we eat as long as it is allergy free. He loves bananas, grilled cheese, green beans, cheese, ham/cheese sandw, cheese puffs and sugar free popcicles.

Fun:
He loves playing outside. His favorite toy right now is his new riding horse.

Words:
He can say about 35-40 words right now. Here are some of the most common....
Momma, Daddy, Sissy, RayRay, By, Hi, Hot, Ouch, Owie (booboo), Oscar, Horsey, Go, Dog, Nanna, Bite, No, Ball, doat (goat)

Favorite activities:
By far, his favorite thing to do is feed the dogs with his Daddy and drive the green truck around the farm. He is 100% a Daddy's boy right now.

Homerun for Kendall

Kendall played a great game last Friday night at Kirby! She was hitting the ball like a high schooler! She hit a grand slam that ended up winning the game by one point! When she crossed over home plate, she turned around and pointed to Josh and said "You owe me a dollar!" It was sooo funny and everyone started laughing. After the game, her coach presented her with the "game ball". She was grinning from ear to ear!

At the beginning of the year, the parents were asked to sign up for one game to bring snacks to the tball players on our team. Last Monday night was my night and Josh said I had way too much fun with this! I couldn't just throw a few pkgs of chips in a Walmart bag to hand out......that's way too boring! Each bag held a baseball cupcake, cracker sticks with cheese, fruit roll up and capri sun. I put all the player's names on the bags and made an extra bag for each sibling. Josh was embarrassed but Kendall was proud! LOL

Kirby's 6th grade graduation

Last night we attended Kirby's 6th grade graduation ceremony. Every year, the school chooses the top 2 girls and 2 boys from the 5th grade class to usher in the graduates. Reagon was chosen as one of the girls and we were so proud of her. She looked beautiful and did such a good job, even though she told me she would have a heart attack and throw up if she had to hold hands or cross arms with her escort! LOL Here are some of the pics...I know, lots of pics but I couldn't help myself. I was so proud of her. Her face was tired from smiling from all the pics I took last night. And yes...I cried during most of the graduation just thinking about her doing it next year and then the real graduation not too far off in the future.
